Dr. Patricia Murillo is a native of Escondido and received an undergraduate degree in both biology and spanish literature from UCSD. She completed medical school at the Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1999 and did her residency at the Martin Luther King Jr./ Charles Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles. She joined Vista Way OB/GYN in August 2003 and enjoys providing obstetrical and gynecological care to women during the various stages of their lives. She also enjoys patient education and strives to improve the quality of life of her patients through health maintenance and prevention.

During her residency, Dr. Murillo worked in the underserved community of Watts in Los Angeles county. She also spent some of her free time in various parts of Mexico providing care for indigent women in rural communities and teaching young women the importance of having Pap smears for cervical cancer screening.

Dr. Murillo lives in Oceanside and enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, gourmet cooking and reading spanish literature.
